This is a permanent, full-time, daytime role working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary depending on skills and experience. Please note, flexibility is required due to project needs, including travel to implementation sites during testing, commissioning and ramp-up phases.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Responsible for leading onsite implementation activities for automation projects and ensuring a smooth transition to local operations upon completion.

Key tasks:

  • Lead onsite activities during testing, commissioning, start-up and ramp-up of automated warehouse systems
  • Develop and implement best practices for the use of automation technologies and operational processes
  • Train operators and local teams to ensure operational readiness and efficiency
  • Ensure that organisational processes are followed and support teams throughout the ramp-up phase
  • Document training materials, SOPs and best practices for future implementations
  • Ensure a seamless handover to local operations once throughput and efficiency targets are met
  • Collaborate with automation specialists to identify and implement process improvements

Profile:

Technical expertise:
Strong understanding of automation technologies used in warehousing environments, with extensive experience in Autostore design, implementation or optimisation. Skilled in developing training materials, leading operator training and working with both automation software and hardware.

Experience & education:
Experience in automation, warehousing operations or process improvement. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Personal qualities & soft skills:
Hands-on leadership style, structured approach, proactive mindset, adaptable to fast-changing environments and a strong team player.

Communication skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Dutch language skills are highly preferred.

Additional requirements:
Willingness to travel and work onsite for extended periods during implementation phases. Strong interest in emerging automation technologies and innovative warehousing solutions.
