So if you’re ready to roll out the red carpet for our clients — and for each other — we’ve got a spot for you.

Behind the scenes is where the real excitement begins. Ready to join us?

To fuel the rapid expansion of our automation programme, we are strengthening our IT team with an IT Applications Support Engineer focused on warehouse automation software. In this role, you will support all automation-enabled Bleckmann sites globally and act as the primary IT contact for our automation platforms and suppliers.

What You Will Do

As our IT Applications Support Engineer – Automation, you will ensure the stable daily operation of our warehouse automation systems — including AutoStore and the Kardex Control Center (KCC) Warehouse Control System. These systems interface with our two WMS platforms: Manhattan WMS (Active Omni) and Blue Yonder Dispatcher (JDA).

You will be a crucial link between our warehouse operations, internal IT teams, and automation suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line software support for AutoStore and KCC WCS across all Bleckmann automation sites, with a focus on the Dutch region (Bergen op Zoom, Roosendaal, Almelo).
  • Log, triage, and follow up on incidents in TopDesk using the P1–P4 priority framework, escalating when needed.
  • Diagnose issues across the end-to-end automation stack, including WMS–WCS communication errors, TCP/IP connection failures, integration issues, and pick/put logic errors.
  • Serve as the daily point of contact for automation suppliers (Kardex, Addverb) and coordinate ticket follow-up and incident resolution.
  • Monitor KCC WCS dashboards, health checks, and alerting to proactively identify risk signals.
  • Support maintenance windows, software updates, configuration changes, and regression testing after releases or patches.
  • Analyse logs and interface data to identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term improvements.
  • Maintain internal knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and runbooks.
  • Support change requests (CRs) and evaluate the impact of software changes on the automation ecosystem.
  • Collaborate closely with WMS support, infrastructure teams, and warehouse operations to ensure reliable end-to-end processes across Manhattan and Blue Yonder environments.
  • Report to the IT Automation Manager / Head of WMS Support.

  • Affinity with logistics or warehousing environments.
    • Experience with WMS/WCS/automation systems is a strong plus.
    • Knowledge of Manhattan WMS (Active Omni) and/or Blue Yonder Dispatcher (JDA) is a major advantage.

What We Offer

  • A key role at the front line of Bleckmann’s automation transformation.
