This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday. As the role supports a complex, fast-paced 24/7 operation, flexibility is required to meet business and operational needs. The salary on offer is up to £44,900.00 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for partnering with operational teams across a complex 24/7 logistics environment to drive Health & Safety excellence, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards, and promote a proactive culture of continuous improvement and risk management.

  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture through coaching, engagement and visible floor presence

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures

  • Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews

  • Support accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented

  • Deliver inductions, training and Health & Safety awareness initiatives

  • Support and coach managers on Health & Safety responsibilities and best practice

  • Monitor Health & Safety performance and drive continuous improvement activities

  • Manage training compliance records and associated documentation

  • Oversee MHE fleet compliance, ensuring equipment remains safe and fit for purpose

  • Manage contractor compliance and site induction processes

  • Support employee wellbeing, return-to-work and rehabilitation activities where required

  • Act as a key point of contact for Health & Safety, compliance and regulatory matters

  • Build strong relationships with Operations, HR, Facilities and other key stakeholders

 Profile:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification

  • Health & Safety experience within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or a similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation

  • Experience within logistics, distribution or e-commerce environments desirable

  • Experience with risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations

  • Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to influence behaviours and promote a positive safety culture

  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Flexible approach to support a 24/7 operation

  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving skills
