This is a permanent, full-time role, working Monday to Friday, covering today hours with flexibility required during business needed. The role offers an annual salary up to £38,610.00, depending on skills and experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the reliability and continuity of warehouse automation systems through the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supporting operational performance, minimizing downtime, and contributing to a safe and efficient working environment
Key Tasks
Carry out preventive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment, including conveyors, ASRS systems and robotics
Perform fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components, escalating complex issues where required
Support troubleshooting activities to resolve technical incidents and maintain operational continuity
Monitor equipment performance and report defects, abnormalities and recurring issues
Coordinate and support external contractors during maintenance activities
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage and equipment status
Ensure maintenance work is completed in line with site procedures, safety standards and company policies
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and maintenance processes
Support equipment upgrades, technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Help minimise downtime and maximise the performance of warehouse automation systems
Core Capabilities
Collaboration:
Works effectively with operations teams, supervisors and external contractors to ensure maintenance activities are executed efficiently and without disruption to ongoing processes. Shares relevant information proactively and supports team objectives.
Problem Solving:
Identifies and resolves standard technical issues by applying structured troubleshooting approaches. Recognizes when escalation is required and ensures problems are clearly documented and communicated.
Continuous Improvement:
Actively looks for opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance processes and cost efficiency. Contributes practical suggestions based on day-to-day experience with systems and operations.
Profile:
Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent through relevant experience
Previous maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment
Exposure to automation systems would be highly advantageous
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with knowledge of PLC diagnostics considered an asset
Ability to follow maintenance procedures and work schedules with a high level of accuracy
Strong focus on safety, quality and operational continuity
Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem solving
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors and external contractors
