Tasks and responsibilities:


As a Supervisor you will manage the Team Leader(s) and Warehouse employees which you are responsible for.
It is your job to achieve all department objectives. You do this, among other things, by focusing on productivity, customer satisfaction, analyzing department results and making improvement proposals based on customer satisfaction research.

  • Achieve departmental objectives;
  • Analyze departmental results;
  • Improve productivity and efficiency;
  • Make improvement proposals to improve services and increase customer satisfaction;
  • Minimizing errors and shortening lead times;
  • Conducting consultations within and outside the department;
  • Point of contact for both the internal organization and suppliers related to the department;
  • Leading, coaching, training and motivating the Teamleaders;
  • Coach and motivate the team and train new employees;
  • Working in a continuous process improvement environment within our network organization;
  • Reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Profile:

  • MBO+/ HBO working and thinking level;
  • Demonstrable experience in managing large groups;
  • Good knowledge of logistics processes;
  • Good knowledge of warehouse management system (preferably WMi);
  • Good communication skills and positive attitude;
  • Strong leadership skills and able to motivate a team;
  • Decisive, problem solving skills;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Excellent knowledge and command of the Dutch and English languages both verbally and in writing;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Six Sigma;
  • Flexible and stress-resistant and able to work overtime in (and if necessary out of) season;
