This is a permanent, full-time, daytime role working Monday to Friday and offers a salary up to £35,000.00 per annum. It follows a hybrid working model, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.

Tasks and responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation, reconciliation, and administration of transport-related invoices. The role plays a key part in supporting operational and financial accuracy whilst maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare and generate transport-related invoices in line with customer contracts, tariffs, and service agreements

  • Verify invoice accuracy, completeness, and compliance against financial and operational data

  • Reconcile invoice information against transport logs, job sheets, and booking systems

  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with operational teams

  • Act as the first point of contact for invoice-related queries from customers and transport providers

  • Maintain accurate records and support internal audits and compliance activities

  • Monitor invoicing deadlines to ensure timely and accurate billing

  • Identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors

  • Build effective working relationships across Finance, Operations, and Transport functions

  • Provide administrative support and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required

Profile

  • Previous experience within invoicing, finance administration, transport administration, or logistics administration

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work confidently with financial and operational data

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to investigating discrepancies

  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • Comfortable working with finance systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience using Tableau or similar reporting and data analysis tools would be advantageous

  • Understanding of transport operations, service contracts, or logistics environments is desirable

  • Proactive and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • A team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to support wider business objectives
