This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 - 17:00, with flexibility required during peak periods. The role offers an annual salary up to £37,000.00 depending on skills and experience.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for promoting a strong safety culture across 2 sites, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies, and supporting safe working practices for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Monitor and maintain Health & Safety compliance across 2 sites
Deliver inductions and site tours
Create and review risk assessments
Manage COSHH records and hazardous substances
Conduct workplace inspections and ensure actions are completed
Deliver safety training and briefings
Maintain incident, accident, and near‑miss records
Investigate incidents and support managers with follow‑up
Chair Health & Safety committee meetings and support reporting
Ensure adequate first aid and fire warden coverage
Support safe contractor management and PPE compliance
Assist with business continuity and emergency plans
Profile:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or IOSH working toward NEBOSH)
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
Confident in risk assessments, inspections, and investigations
Strong communication and engagement skills at all levels
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities across 2 sites
Training delivery experience (desirable)
Dangerous Goods, COMAH, or auditing experience (desirable)
