Tasks and Responsibilities: 

In this versatile role, you will be part of the Finance department. You will work alongside other Assistant Controllers and report to the Business Controller. Your primary focus will be supporting the financial controls of the transport organization. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Collecting financial data and verifying its accuracy and completeness 

  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts 

  • Supporting the preparation, analysis, interpretation, and discussion of various periodic financial reports, such as month-end and year-end closings 

  • Setting up and reviewing credit and debit provisions 

  • Completing, verifying, and discussing results in KPI reports 

  • Contributing positively to process and performance improvements 

Your main place of work will be the office in Almelo, though occasional presence at other locations across the Netherlands may be required. 

 

What do you bring to the table? 

  • A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Finance/Economics 

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role 

  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel 

  • Knowledge of Tableau and/or SAP is a plus 

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to process large amounts of data quickly and accurately 

  • Proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility 

  • Ambition to grow and develop further professionally
